    Description

    The plumber installs, maintains, tests and repairs hot and cold-water supply systems, drainage, sewerage and rainwater systems. Sanitation is critical to the wellbeing of society in general and the lack of absence thereof will have a very negative impact on society. The economy will grow positively when saving of a scarce resource such as water is managed efficiently by qualified artisans.

    What Will I Learn?

    • Install, maintain, test and repair above-ground soil waste and vent systems and sanitary ware appliances
    • Install, maintain and test below-ground drainage systems and perform basic building work
    • Install, maintain and test cold water systems and hot water systems
    • Install, maintain and test rain water systems

    Duration

    • Fulltime – 24 months
    • RPL – to be completed within a year.

    Entry Level Requirements

    • NQF Level 1 with Mathematics, Science.
